Amine-function compounds

This heading sits in chapter 29 (Organic chemicals). Classification is governed by the official chapter notes: a note can pull goods into the chapter or push them out of it.

Supplementary units used by the codes under this heading: kg met.am.

Subheadings and tariff codes

The code used on a customs declaration has twelve digits. The list below gives the six-digit subheading first, then the twelve-digit codes underneath it. Opening a code shows its definition and the Turkish import duty rows registered against it.

Import duty rates under this heading

The ranges below are compiled from the import regime rows registered against the 96 codes under this heading. A range is always calculated within a single column; different country groups are never mixed. The rate that applies to you depends on both the twelve-digit code and the country of origin — open the specific code for the exact value.

In the industrial-goods list and the additional-duty table the columns are published by number: 1 = EU members and free trade agreement partners, 2 = Qatar, 3 = United Arab Emirates, 4-5-6 = Generalised System of Preferences groups (least developed, special incentive, developing), 7 = all other countries. A preferential column only applies where a valid proof of origin is filed.

The rate becomes an amount as follows: customs duty = customs value (price of the goods + freight to the Turkish border + insurance) × rate. The additional customs duty applies to the same base, not on top of the customs duty. VAT is calculated last, on the customs value plus every tax paid at customs plus the costs incurred up to registration of the declaration.
