All 28 twelve-digit Turkish tariff codes under heading 85.33, with subheadings, units of measure and Turkish import duty rates. Free, no sign-up.

What this heading covers

Electrical resistors (including rheostats and potentiometers), excluding heating resistors

This heading sits in chapter 85 (Electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof; sound recorders and reproducers; television image and sound recorders and reproducers, parts and accessories of such articles). Classification is governed by the official chapter notes: a note can pull goods into the chapter or push them out of it.

Supplementary units used by the codes under this heading: Kg.

Subheadings and tariff codes

The code used on a customs declaration has twelve digits. The list below gives the six-digit subheading first, then the twelve-digit codes underneath it. Opening a code shows its definition and the Turkish import duty rows registered against it.

8533.10 — Electrical resistors; fixed carbon resistors, composition or film types (including rheostats and potentiometers but excluding heating resistors)

8533.21 — Electrical resistors; fixed, for a power handling capacity not exceeding 20W (including rheostats and potentiometers but excluding heating resistors and carbon resistors)

8533.31 — Electrical resistors; wirewound variable, including rheostats and potentiometers, for a power handling capacity not exceeding 20W (excluding heating)

8533.39 — Electrical resistors; wirewound variable, including rheostats and potentiometers, for a power handling capacity exceeding 20W (excluding heating)

8533.40 — Electrical resistors; variable, including rheostats and potentiometers (excluding heating)

Import duty rates under this heading

The ranges below are compiled from the import regime rows registered against the 28 codes under this heading. A range is always calculated within a single column; different country groups are never mixed. The rate that applies to you depends on both the twelve-digit code and the country of origin — open the specific code for the exact value.

In the industrial-goods list and the additional-duty table the columns are published by number: 1 = EU members and free trade agreement partners, 2 = Qatar, 3 = United Arab Emirates, 4-5-6 = Generalised System of Preferences groups (least developed, special incentive, developing), 7 = all other countries. A preferential column only applies where a valid proof of origin is filed.

The rate becomes an amount as follows: customs duty = customs value (price of the goods + freight to the Turkish border + insurance) × rate. The additional customs duty applies to the same base, not on top of the customs duty. VAT is calculated last, on the customs value plus every tax paid at customs plus the costs incurred up to registration of the declaration.
